Disabled Women (FDW), is a registered non-governmental, non-religion and not-for-profit
organization founded in 2011, focuses on the need to give ability to the
disabled women in our society, who are neglected, abused, victimized,
abandoned, unloved and ignored.
These women (disabled) are destitute and displaced, relegated to street begging for sustenance of live, despite their plight as challenged members of the society.

Over 20% of all Nigerian women are disabled. (Health survey, WHO, 1990)
Disabled women/girls are twice as likely to be sexually assaulted.
Disabled Women are more like to be victims of violence.
Government and individual support & services for disabled mothers are almost totally inaccessible or do not exist.
Women’s services are often inaccessible to Women With Disabilities (WWDs).
Many doctors have difficulty dealing with Women who are both pregnant and disabled.
The unemployment rate for Women with Disabilities in Nigeria is 98%
Women With Disabilities have a higher excessive mortality rate than do disabled men.
